Position Description: The Program Manager (PM) manages all aspects of the product development life cycle from inception through end of life for tactical power systems for the US military. This role includes managing a cross-functional team within the organization to meet the customer's needs and is responsible for managing the program’s Scope, Schedule, and Cost. Proven experience with managing a product through the development phases and coordinating launch into production is required. The Program Manager is the key customer point of contact upon kickoff and requires the ability to present and communicate effectively externally and internally at an executive level.

Key Roles/Duties:
  • iLead all phases of project lifecycle from initiation through closeout
  • Define, plan, and manage scope, schedule, cost and quality objectives
  • Serve as primary point of contact for internal leadership, customers, and stakeholders
  • Adherence to all internal processes for Program Management
  • Build and lead cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT)
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities across engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality
  • Assign tasks, track progress, and ensure accountability across the IPT
  • Identify, document, and track requirements, ensuring compliance with customer and contractual needs
  • Development and maintain project plans, including Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
  • Establish cost and schedule baselines and manage against them using Earned Value Management (EVM) or equivalent methods
  • Ensure timely completion of deliverables, milestones, and reporting requirements.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues
  • Escalate critical risks or issues and drive timely resolutions
  • Submission of program performance in internal reporting systems
  • Government Property tracking and management
  • Develop and deliver presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders
  • Support proposal development, pricing, and capture planning
  • Review and negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs), contract modifications, and key terms
  • Negotiate and establish schedule milestones, payment, and other key contract terms and conditions
  • Track funding, invoicing, and payment milestones
  • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions through structured reporting and briefings
  • Identify opportunities for follow-on work or expanded scope
  • Actively manage scope, schedule, and cost for key customer projects, guiding new product development from concept through mass production
  • Primary interface and escalation point for customers during product development phases
  • Assist in continuous improvement of key Process areas of the New Product Development Process
  • Support and manage the established Program Management Office (PMO) metrics
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Demonstrated experience with the duties and roles listed
  • Demonstrated strength in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • We are an International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) facility and hire only United States (U.S.) persons who are defined as U.S. citizens or green card holders
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Four (4) years of experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Government contracts, or project management in other industries
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified 
  • Technical Background
Travel:
  • Up to ten (10)% Continental United States (CONUS) travel is required
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a background check and/or security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • No clearance required, but eligibility to gain preferred 
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
