Title: Warehouse Manager/Shipping & Receiving, Mid-Senior

Details:
  • Status: Full-Time, Regular Salary, Non-Exempt
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 0900hrs - 1700hrs EST
  • Location: On-Site; Aberdeen, MD 21001
  • Supervisory: Yes
Key Roles/Duties:
  • Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping operations. Generate and manage pick tickets to support work orders for the production floor. Manage these activities utilizing our Deltek Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Ensure efficient organization of inventory through accurate labeling, systematic storage, and optimized warehouse layout
  • Continuously improve warehouse space utilization, workflow efficiency, and safety standards
  • Enforce compliance with safety protocols and adhere strictly to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH) regulations
  • Manage accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming goods, ensuring quality control standards are met
  • Coordinate timely and accurate shipping of finished goods, collaborating effectively with freight companies and carriers
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and invoices
  • Implement ongoing process improvements aimed at enhancing warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and reducing operational errors
  • Maintain meticulous and accurate inventory records, performing regular audits and cycle counts
  • Ensure proper handling and storage practices are consistently followed to minimize damage or loss
  • Manage the maintenance schedules of warehouse equipment to guarantee continuous, safe, and efficient operation
  • Enforce and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 standards
  • Lead, supervise, and develop warehouse team members, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional growth. Coordinate with suppliers to schedule deliveries and manage raw material logistics. Handle customer returns and coordinate Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes. Monitor and control warehouse operational expenses to align with budget objectives. Oversee identification and appropriate disposal or recycling of obsolete or excess inventory. Develop and maintain warehouse emergency response and disaster recovery procedures
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience coordinating vendor and carrier logistics
  • Experience managing Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes
  • +3 years of demonstrated experience in an equivalent or similar role in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management
  • Demonstrated experience using an ERP system, shipping, receiving, and inventory control
  • Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001:2015 or other industry-specify quality systems
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience
  • Maintain highly organized and detailed records
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in warehouse operations or inventory management
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience managing emergency response planning or disaster recovery processes
  • +6 years of demonstrated experience in an equivalent or similar role
  • Experience with ERP system, Deltek
Travel:
  • Minimal, local travel less than 10% of the year
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a background check and/or security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • No clearance required, but preferred 
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
