- Location: On-Site, Aberdeen, MD

Key Roles/Duties:
- Source and select suppliers for electro-mechanical components based on quality, price, reliability, and lead times
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure optimal pricing and reliable delivery schedules
- Request, review, and analyze quotations to identify the most advantageous procurement options
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, timely deliveries, and compliance with product specifications
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively place purchase orders to maintain optimal stock
- Forecast material requirements to avoid shortages and disruptions in production
- Promptly resolve supply chain issues to minimize impacts on production schedules
- Ensure purchased materials meet strict quality standards and product specifications
- Collaborate closely with Program Management Office (PMO), Engineering, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to address and resolve non-conforming materials
- Generate detailed reports tracking procurement activities and supplier performance
- Maintain accurate, organized records of all procurement activities.
- Effectively utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for managing procurement processes and tracking component inventory
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks and vulnerabilities in the supply chain
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements to enhance procurement processes and systems
- Manage purchasing budgets effectively, ensuring cost control and budget adherence
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate degree or relevant certifications [i.e. Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)]
- +3 years of demonstrated experience in an equivalent or similar role
- Highly organized with a knack for attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience using an ERP system
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Analytical skills to assess pricing, quality, and supplier performance
- Ability to multitask effectively under pressure or tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or a related field
- +6 years of demonstrated experience in an equivalent or similar role
- Experience within defense contracting or familiarity with military/government procurement procedures
- Background in quality standards and certifications (ISO, MIL standards)
- Experience with ERP system, Deltek
Travel:
- Up to ten (10) percent (%) Continental United States (CONUS) travel

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
